What is the advantage of having a Loop - Detector Unit Installed?
A Ground - Loop/Loop Detector Unit is an entry/exit feature which consists of a loop/coil of induction cable, positioned as far from the gates as feasibly possible. The cable is then twisted and returned to the Loop Detector Unit, which is wired into the Gate Control Board.
When a vehicle drives over the loop/coil the Loop Detector Unit picks up the magnetic field and direction of the vehicle and sends a signal to the Gate Control Board. Which opens the gates ready for entry / exit.
Most set-ups are on exit, allowing anyone to leave your property without the need of a remote control.
Most are set up on a timer (see 24hr - 7day Timer Clocks) to retain security between certain hours.
